Firm Profile

Since 1972, Investment Counselors of Maryland has successfully managed portfolios for institutional clients (public and corporate retirement funds, endowments and foundations) and taxable assets for wealthy families and individuals.

A boutique investment firm by today's standards, ICM specializes in managing "value" equities across all market capitalizations. We believe investment returns are earned singly, by individual companies. In applying our "bottom-up" investment process across the entire capitalization range, we construct portfolios company-by-company. This proven investment process has been consistently applied and has rewarded our clients with strong long-term investment performance.

Our primary goal is to produce superior investment results for our clients. Consistent with that goal, we work hard to understand each client's specific needs, objectives and tolerance for risk and apply that knowledge in structuring their portfolios. Our clients' financial well-being is the focus of our business. We are dedicated to providing them exceptional service.
